Andrea has been playing golf for over 35 years, starting at her parents' driving range in Hagerstown, MD. She played in many local junior events around the state of Maryland and competed in three Maryland High School State Championships. After high school, she played Division I collegiate golf at Marshall University. Upon graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 2011, Andrea decided to continue her love for golf as a club professional.
Working at various clubs in the Middle Atlantic area, Andrea earned her PGA Membership in 2017. In 2023, she became a Specialized Professional in Teaching and Coaching while working at Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, DE, home of several U.S. Amateur events and the 2022 BMW Championship. Andrea came to Seabrook Island in December 2023 as the Director of Player Development. Her passion for golf and growing the game has made her an excellent addition to the staff. With the creation of several group instruction programs, she has introduced many new golfers to the game at Seabrook Island and is working to elevate golf instruction there.
Her teaching philosophy is that everyone has their own unique swing. Her goal as a coach is to make that swing work better for you in a fun and relaxed environment, including on the golf course. On the range, you learn mechanics; on the course, you learn to score. Andrea is passionate about helping her students learn to score better for more enjoyment of the game.
